Kinetics Of Dissolution Of Benzoic Acid Apparatus

The setup consists of a Reactor in which a solid cylinder of Benzoic Acid is placed and water is stirred by means of a variable speed mixer. Baffles are also provided. The Reactor is made of Stainless Steel. A Peltilizer is provided to make the solid cylinder of size 1″ diameter and 2″ height of Benzoic Acid.

Experimentation/Learning Objectives
• To study the Kinetics of dissolution of Benzoic Acid.

Utilities Required
• Electricity Supply: Single Phase, 220 VAC, 50 Hz, 5-15 Amp combined socket with earth connection. Earth voltage should be less than 5 volts.
• Water Supply.
• Floor Drain.
• Floor Area Required: 1.0 m x 0.5 m.
• Instruments, Laboratory Glassware, and Chemicals required for analysis as per the system adopted.
